The Excel transport bill adds up in two stages, which is the point of taking the spreadsheet: freight subtotals across the consignment lines first, then detention, loading, unloading and other charges are added to that. Billing software that lumps everything into one column is how a halting charge ends up outside the total. The GST treatment is a dropdown, so the bill cannot go out ambiguous.

Can I add more consignment lines to the Excel transport bill?

Yes. Insert rows inside the table, above the freight subtotal, and the SUM range stretches to include them. Adding rows below the subtotal leaves them outside it, and the line will look filled in but will not count towards the total.

Is the excel free to download?

Yes. Excel download without a sign-up, an email address or a watermark. You can also put your own business name and GSTIN on it from the panel beside the document and print that — nothing you type is uploaded anywhere.

Can I change what is on this transport bill?
